Man attacks store with snow shovel
It was a wild Friday morning in Orchard Mesa, as a man called 911 around 9:30am saying, according to police, he was about to go psycho and had a gun.
That man then hung up the phone, but dispatchers were able to track down a possible address for him, located in the Western Hills Trailer Park.
When the Grand Junction Police Department arrived, they learned the suspect had left the area on a bicycle.
According to police, at about the same time, reports began coming in that a man at the Alco store had entered the business, grabbed a snow shovel, and began hitting displays with it.
Police arrested the man, 32 year-old Justin Griffin, on charges of criminal mischief and on an outstanding warrant.
Police did not find any weapons.
