Man arrested for Mesa Inn shooting
Zachariah McCullough was handling revolver when it went off
The Grand Junction Police Department has made an arrest in Sunday night's shooting at the Mesa Inn.
Officers responded to a shots fired call around 9:15 p.m. Sunday.
According to police, Zachariah McCullough was handling a large revolver inside his hotel room when the gun went off, sending a bullet through the wall of the adjacent hotel room.
One person was wounded in the shoulder after getting hit by shrapnel from the blast.
Mccullough was arrested on charges including prohibited use of a weapon, illegal discharge of a firearm, reckless endangerment, and third degree assault.
