A judge has ruled that a Centennial man accused of killing his mother and dismembering her body is competent to stand trial.
    
The judge said Wednesday that Ari Liggett's defense attorneys did not argue against the findings and the trial could proceed.
    
Liggett was arrested by Greenwood Village police in October. He is accused of poisoning his mother, Beverly Liggett, in their Centennial home, dismembering her body then driving around the state with her remains in the back of his vehicle.
    
According to the Denver Post (http://tinyurl.com/brpguug ), Liggett told police he found his mother dead on the floor of their Centennial home and that she'd committed suicide by taking potassium cyanide. He said he was trying to put her body in a storage shed when he was arrested.
