UPDATE 3:20pm: Operations at Nisley Elementary and Kinderhous Daycare have returned to normal at this time.  Police have made contact with the individual in question.

As it turned out, a woman was carrying a plastic gun.  Polilce say she never threatened anyone with it.

Nisley Elementary and Kinderhous Daycare have been placed on lockdown following a report of a suspicious woman walking in the area with what appeared to be a rifle.

There are few details, but the police say the man was not on school property, and that the lockdown has been called as a precaution.

We are working to get more details and will share them as soon as we receive any updates.
