Local salon holds coat drive
Donate coats, hats, and mittens at Hair Loft Salon
A local salon wants to make sure that nobody in the Grand Valley will have to go without a coat this winter by organizing its annual coat drive.
The Hair Loft Styling Salon is teaming up with Catholic Outreach to host its 2nd annual coat drive. They'll be collecting coats, hats, and mittens for everyone from children to adults. Hair stylist Kelly Cavanagh says it’s important to help those in need.
“I've been fortunate to never have to be out on the streets or in the cold, but just driving in my car I see homeless people and I just can't even imagine myself in that position. And so the girls at the hair loft and myself want to do anything we can to help” said Cavanagh.
The coat drive will continue through December 15th and you can drop off donations at the hair loft, which is located in cottonwood mall. The best time to donate is Tuesday through Thursday from 10AM to 4PM, and everyone who makes a donation will receive a 10 percent discount.
