Lightning has sparked several new wildfires in southwestern Colorado.
The Durango Herald (bit.ly/RvQyTB) reported that the largest of the fires started Sunday evening spread to 80 acres. The Burns Fire is burning on Southern Ute Indian Tribe land and private land southwest of Pagosa Springs.
Two structures are threatened by the fire.
Two single-engine air tankers have been fighting the fire and a heavy air tanker is on its way.
Firefighters from as far away as the Navajo Nation in Arizona have been deployed to fight the new fires.
