One man transported to St. Mary's Hospital in serious condition
Heather Benjamin with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office is confirming to KJCT News 8 that one man was shot around 11 p.m. on Monday.
The shooting occurred at the Racquet Club Apartments on 2915 Orchard Avenue. The victim's age and name are not being released at this time, however, his condition is listed as serious at St. Mary's Hospital.
No one has been arrested or detained, and no suspect information is available at this time from law enforcement. This investigation is in the very early stages, including getting investigators to the hospital and on-scene.
Our crews at the scene tell us that deputies are attempting to locate a vehicle that was stolen from the scene of the shooting. The vehicle is a 1997 green Honda Accord.
