A store clerk is recovering after he was punched during a robbery Wednesday night.
Patrol supervisor Todd Rowell with the Mesa County Sheriff's Office tells KJCT News 8 the Loco gas station in the 500 block of 32 Road was robbed around 11 p.m. on Wednesday.
Rowell says a man came in and showed the clerk a note demanding money.
He then proceeded to punch the clerk, but Rowell says the clerk suffered no serious injuries.
It's unclear at this time how much the robber stole from the store.
Rowell says the robber is described as a white man in his 20's. He is 5'9'' to 5'10 with a medium build. The man was last seen wearing sunglasses, a black hat, a black or red bandana over his face, a black shirt and black motor-cross style gloves.
He was last seen running towards the nearby City Market.
