Katie Ryan Says Goodbye to Western Colorado

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

It's a bittersweet day at KJCT News 8 This Morning.

I've made the Grand Valley my home since September of 2009 and can honestly say it's been a joy and privilege reporting and anchoring for each and every person.

I've been so lucky to work with such wonderful people on the morning newscast. 

My co-anchor Dann Cianca can attest to how much I love my job and how truly blessed I've been because I've been able to do it in such a beautiful area!

While I'm going to miss Grand Junction and all the wonderful friends I've made here, I'm so excited for the journey ahead. I'm moving to the Pacific Northwest for the next step in my career.

This Monday, when our weekend anchor, Janelle Ericsson, steps into the morning anchor role, I hope the Grand Valley makes her feel as welcome as I felt when I started.

Thank you for all the wonderful memories. It's been a pleasure living and working here in Western Colorado!
