Grand Junction, COLO. -

Eric Myers, the Executive Director of the Western Colorado Chapter of the American Red Cross, sat down with KJCT News 8 This Morning to share how people can help the firefighting efforts across the state.

If you would like to support the Red Cross disaster relief, you can learn more at http://www.redcross.org, by calling 1-800-REDCROSS or by texting REDCROSS to 90999.

Myers says making a financial donation is the best way to help out because it provides the Red Cross with the flexibility to meet needs as they arise.

If you are in an affected area, the Red Cross encourage you to register your status with Safe and Well so that family and loved ones can search and find out if you’re OK; likewise, if you are looking for a loved one, visit Safe and Well to search for that person.
