After a long weekend of filling our plates and our stomachs, many of you have tried to balance it out with exercise.
Crossroads Fitness in Grand Junction was bustling Sunday as athletes took to machines and weights. Gyms are pushing people to come in during the holiday season to keep from packing on the pounds.
Crossroads says you can enjoy goodies around the holidays, but don't let yourself slack. People seem to be heeding that advise. Crossroads has seen an increase of foot traffic since Thanksgiving.
"I saw the regulars and then some. Yes it was more people. They come in here on a regular basis and they want to stay on track," John Ball with Crossroads Fitness said. "They want to enjoy the great food, they don't want to insult Grandma by not eating it because they're on a diet."
Right now, Crossroads is running their No Gain Campaign to encourage people to eat in moderation and continue to work out.
Gym staff also say many folks who usually do outdoor activities are using equipment inside to avoid the cold.
