GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

Jason Gutierrez is a one-year-old boy who was born with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome, meaning the left ventricle of his heart is severely underdeveloped.

The infant's already gone through two open-heart surgeries and six other procedures, according to his mother, Mary Kincaid.

She says the doctors in Denver can't offer much hope for her son but a doctor in California is able to help.

A fundraiser is scheduled for Saturday, August 25th at Ed Bozarth, located at 2595 U.S. 6 in Grand Junction.

It will be held in the conference room from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

According to Linda Williams, a friend of Jason's mother, donations can also be made at Bank of the West in attention to Brenda Girodo, 1211 N. 7th Street, Grand Junction Co. 81501.
