Heather Jensen to be extradited back to Mesa County
Heather Jensen is going to be extradited back to Mesa County to face charges for the deaths of her two sons, William and Tyler, according to Mesa County District Attorney Pete Hautzinger.
However, there's no word on when she'll be transported back to Colorado.
Jensen was arrested Wednesday afternoon in North Fort Myers, Florida.
She's being charged with two counts of child abuse resulting in death, two counts of criminally negligent homicide and one count of false reporting to authorities, according to the arrest affidavit.
William and Tyler were found unconscious in Heather's vehicle on November 27. Her SUV was left running on the Grand Mesa near Powderhorn.
The Mesa County coroner determined the boys died from hyperthermia and ruled the deaths accidental on January 8.
According to the arrest affidavit, Jensen lied to authorities on several accounts, including how long Tyler and William were in the vehicle alone.
