Heather Jensen appeared in Mesa County court Thursday morning, but she was only in front of the judge for about five minutes.

A reporter with KJCT was in the court room at 9:00 a.m. and saw Jensen enter the room in a red prison uniform with her hands shackled in front of her body.

Jensen sat quietly with an emotionless look on her face.

She was only in front of the judge for about five minutes and was supposed to formally hear the charges filed against her.

Judge Robison has set a review hearing for February 14, at 9:00 a.m.

Jensen is facing two charges of negligent child abuse resulting in death, two charges of criminally negligent homicide and one charge of false reporting to authorities.

The charges stem from the deaths of her sons William and Tyler. They died from hyperthermia after being left in their mother's SUV on the Grand Mesa near Powderhorn.
