Heather Jensen headed back to Mesa County
Heather Jensen has been released from Lee County Jail and is making her way back to Mesa County, according to the Lee County Sheriff's Office.
Jensen was arrested in Florida on Wednesday, January 17. She was staying at her mother's house.
She's facing two counts of child abuse resulting in death, among other charges.
The charges stem from the deaths of her two young boys, Tyler and William. The boys died from hyperthermia after Jensen left them alone in her vehicle near Powderhorn in November.
Jensen waived extradition, making her return to Mesa County happen much faster.
Once back, she'll be in court within 24-hours and appointed a public defender.
