Gun fired in Orchard Mesa
G.J.P.D. responded to 2680 B 1/2 Road around 9:30 p.m. Monday
The Grand Junction Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting.
Police say the incident happened just after 9:30 p.m. Monday.
Officers were originally dispatched to a burglary in progress at the Monument Ridge town homes behind Dairy Queen, near B ½ Road in Orchard Mesa. While on the way, officers received additional information that someone had fired a gun.
Police say only a single shot was fired. A victim at the scene reported being fired at but wasn't struck.
It isn't clear who the shooter is at this time.
Police are asking anyone with information to call the non emergency dispatch number at 242-6707.
