GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

The Good Samaritan Clinic in Grand Junction needs more volunteers so it can open more than once a month.

The clinic currently opens once a month, providing free health services to anyone in need.

This includes the homeless or middle class families who don't qualify for many health care programs.

The entire clinic is serviced by volunteers, with about 40 doctors who volunteer on a regular basis.

Clinic volunteers say their patients are incredibly thankful for the doctors, nurses and other volunteers.

Marketing Director and Volunteer for the clinic, Brian Watson said, “The patients are just extremely happy for the doctors and nurses and people who put this all together. And it's amazing where we started only about a year and a half ago."

The clinic first opened last year, servicing about 40 patients a month.

The next open clinic will take place on January 26th from 10am to 3 pm, providing basic primary care and flu shots.
