Around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday, a gas station clerk was robbed at gunpoint at the Sinclair gas station located at 2nd Street and North Avenue in Grand Junction.
According to the clerk, the suspect was a white male, dressed in all black, had a black hoodie and a black cloth mask with white stripes. He was believed to be in his 20’s, about 6’0-6’2” with a slender build. He was also wearing red sunglasses.
According to Sgt. Lonnie Chavez with the Grand Junction Police Department, the suspect brandished a black handgun and pointed it at the clerk. The suspect left the area on foot with an undisclosed amount of money from the store. No injuries were reported.
A K9 was brought out to the scene to try and locate the suspect but was unsuccessful.
