GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

A fundraiser will be held this weekend at the high school auditorium starting at one o'clock, where several well-known movies will be playing.

Food and drinks will be available and an auction will also be taking place with 12 thousand dollars worth of items, prizes and gift cards for folks to bid on.

Teacher at Grand Junction High School, Justin Whiteford said, “In effort to teach them political, economic and social aspects of china, we're tying this into a lesson that we're doing with a journal, and it should be a great educational experience for kids locally here to experience something overseas and to see a different country.”

30 students from Palisade and Grand Junction will be going on the 10 day trip.

They'll be visiting the Great Wall of China and other historic spots.

If you want to learn more about the fundraiser or get additional information about their trip to china you can call Justin Whiteford at 424-2711.
