The Grand Junction Economic Partnership just launched a five year fundraising campaign with the goal of raising $1.5 million.
All the money will fund the organization's efforts to sustain and expand the local economy.
GJEP members say that continuous economic development is critical to the success off all businesses on the Western Slope.
They’re working on developing long term investments to benefit our valley, but to do that they need donations.
Wednesday, the group launched its newest fundraising campaign, “Advancing the Ball.”
GJEP is hoping to create a team mentality with Grand Junction businesses.
“Collectively as a business community we really can make a difference,” GJEP executive director, Kelly Flenniken, said. “We really can improve the economic health and well being of our community, continuing to make Mesa County a good place to live a good place to work.”
GJEP is a private non-profit economic development organization with a mission to create local jobs through business attraction and expansion.
Currently the organization has met half of its goal.
