GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

After 60-years of serving Western Colorado, American Furniture is closing it's doors.

It's a locally owned company that began on three different corners of Main St. before moving to its current location on North Ave.

The store has always been a "full-line" furniture store offering fine furnishings from a variety of manufacturers. Store officials say they will miss the day-to-day connection with the people of Grand Junction and Western Colorado.

American Furniture will be closed Thursday, February 3 in preparation of their going out of business sale. The sale will begin on Friday, February 4 at 9:00 a.m. It's expected to be a short term and very aggressive sale.

The sale will end when the remaining inventory is depleted. It will be run by American Furniture Company to allow owners to have a final sale that is advantageous to both the store and it's customers.
