Fremont Co. man held in brother's shotgun slaying
Authorities say a Fremont County man died after he was shot in the abdomen with a shotgun and his brother was arrested.
The Gazette in Colorado Springs reports (http://tinyurl.com/8c9dah4 ) that deputies responding to a 911 call found 34-year-old Daniel McBride dead early Sunday in a home in Howard.
Thirty-two-year-old Joshua McBride has been arrested on suspicion of second-degree murder and is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
Fremont County sheriff's Capt. Don Pinover says the brothers lived in the home with a 27-year-old woman. Pinover says a fight broke out and Daniel McBride was shot. Deputies say alcohol was likely a factor in the fight.
Joshua McBride was treated for a shoulder injury and the woman suffered minor injuries.
The woman was questioned and released.
