Vance's Epicurious shut down unexpectedly and staff showing up for their shifts found a note on the door saying they no longer had jobs.

"So does that mean we're unemployed? He’s just going to tell us on a sign? That’s it?" former server, Jessica Jenkins, asked.

With a note on the restaurant's door, owner and former Denver Bronco's star Vance Johnson, announced the restaurant was closing after just a few months in business.

"All he did was turn the keys and walk out,” former kitchen manager, Brian Braukhoff, said. “He gave us absolutely no notice and he said I’ll have you guys your checks by Wednesday.   That was the last I’ve heard and seen from him."

Johnson hasn't returned employee's phone calls, and the note at the restaurant doesn't offer an explanation."

"They’re not letting anyone know what's going on and that's totally wrong,” Jenkins said.  “They shouldn't do that especially with him being a big name person."

Eden Glass worked around 50 hours each week as the restaurant manager.  She says, "I’m unemployed now and I have two daughters to take care of. I didn't have any notice to go a look for a new job or anything."

On top of unexpectedly losing their jobs, these former employees are worried they won’t get the pay checks they've already worked for.    

"It should have been here last Wednesday and we haven't received anything yet," Glass said.

"I just want him to be a man and do what he's supposed to do,” Braukhoff said.  “Legally he has to do it but he hasn't and he's not planning on doing it either."

Our calls to Vance Johnson have not been returned and as of right now, it is unclear when and if these upset employees will get their final paychecks.
