Food drive for veterans kicks off
The Vet Center kicked off its third annual food drive to help feed veterans and their families.
It says no one should go hungry during the holidays and asks you to support your local veterans.
This year’s food drive started with a motorcycle ride at the Grand Junction Vet Center.
That’s where the organization will be accepting nonperishable food items now through December 3rd.
Last years food drive helped feed 55 veterans and their families and this year the Vet Center hopes to double that.
The organization provides free re-adjustment counseling and outreach to all vets and their families and is located off 24 and F roads in Grand Junction.
