Hundreds of people showed up at Two Rivers Convention Center today and it was all to learn about the future of energy.
The 8th annual Energy Forum and Expo had many speakers ranging from educators and economists to industry experts from all across the country.
With energy being such a significant industry in western Colorado, organizers of the event hope to educate the public about what the industry is doing now and also the direction they hope the energy sector can take in the future.
“We think it's very important for people to understand what is happening in the energy picture because there are so many different variables taking place” explained Bonnie Petersen, Executive Director of Club 20.
The expo portion had dozens of vendors from across the energy industry including oil shale, mining, technologies, and more. The interactions help people understand how the industry operates and what these companies are doing to change the future both here in Colorado and around the globe.
