Ex-secretary charged with high school embezzlement
A former financial secretary for Golden High School is accused of embezzling almost $156,000 from school funds over several years to spend on things like vacations, restaurant meals and to pay her bills.
Judith Eakins worked for the school from 1999 to 2012. She was arrested on suspicion of theft and embezzlement of public property.
According to KMGH-TV (http://tinyurl.com/bf7l876 ), some of the money came from ticket sales to school events such as the prom, concerts, plays and homecoming events.
Eakins had no comment on the allegations.
