Highline lake says the campgrounds are full but the water is dead.
But that's typical for a holiday weekend. Park managers say many people go to bigger lakes over long weekends and that's why the lake has very few boaters.
But they say their busiest day of the weekend is usually on Monday because a lot of people are traveling back home and want to capitalize on their day off so they'll stop by the local reservoir.
The first three months of the season broke records at Highline, but people seemed to have stopped coming. Managers say they are trying to figure out if the heat or gas prices are to blame for the drop in numbers.
"Typically gas prices haven't affected us quite as bad because people still want to go out to the lake and this is close to town," park manager Alan Martinez said. "So usually gas prices, the higher they get, increases our visitation because then people aren't willing to go as far from home."
Highline Lake will close at the end of the month to boaters, but the rest of the park will remain open.
