Some residents in Clifton might be waking up without any water Thursday morning.
Around 3:30 a.m., a water main break was reported in the 500 block of 32 1/2 Road at Friendship Woods Senior Community.
Clifton Water was called out to make necessary repairs.
According to Dale Tooker with Clifton Water, the waterline serves 41 customers living in the senior community.
Those residents were without water for about twelve hours while crews worked to replace the pipe. The pipe was fixed shortly after 3:00 p.m.
Clifton Water determined that the pipe broke due to a fitting that joins two pieces together. They're still trying to figure out why the piece malfunctioned.
