GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

The Grand Junction Police Department is looking to the public for help in identifying a driver involved in a hit and run crash on Monday.

According to police, around 1:00 p.m., a woman was driving west along Ute Ave. near 10th St. The woman, driving in the far left lane, was cut off by a driver in the middle lane trying to make a left-hand turn in front of her.

The maneuver caused the two vehicles to crash in the intersection.

The SUV driver then fled the scene, while the pregnant woman was taken from her car to the hospital.

The suspect's vehicle is described as a 90's model, dark gray or charcoal SUV, similar to a Chevy Blazer.

The suspect is described as a white male, in his thirties.
