The holidays are a time for giving. That’s exactly what Kannah Creek Brewing Company plans on doing. It’s giving back not just this December, but all year long.
Every Monday the brewery taps a firkin keg. Now on the first Monday of every month, it’s turning the event into a fundraiser by donating 100% of the beer money to local charities.
Last night it got a head start, raising nearly 500 dollars for the Dan Keenan Mobility Fund.
This coming Monday, all the money from the firkin is going to buy Christmas presents for kids.
“We’re locally owned and operated. This community has given us so much and we just want to find a way to give back to people who have given us so much,” Katlin Lubely, with Kannah Creek Brewing Company, said. “We love being involved with the community.”
Each firkin has about 80 pints of beer and the restaurant will sell the drinks for $4 each.
