GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

When looking for healing or helpful advice, some people turn to psychics or a more holistic approach but Colorado authorities are cracking down on these types of businesses.

Prosecutors in Denver have arrested several psychics after claims of fraud and deception. Although Samuel Baseler isn’t a psychic, some are just as skeptical about his form of holistic medicine.

Baseler is a retired school teacher and now provides a unique service called Energy Coagulation Release and Repatterning.

"My model says that each of us has a field around us and it’s an energetic field. And our issues become stuck in that field" explains Baseler.

What he claims to do is release that trapped energy and allows you to feel better both physically and mentally.

"A client would say ‘I can’t seem to move my life forward in the way I want. Can you help?’ And the answer is ‘I can help to the degree that you're ready to change’" explained Baseler.

The process includes the client sitting in a chair while Baseler uses a crystal pendulum to search for trapped energy.

"The pendulum tells me when we're releasing this block and when it's released" said Baseler.

He also says that he can solve more than just your present day problems.

"What’s unique about my work is that I’m able to access issues that started in a previous lifetime" explained Baseler.

"If you're working with someone who knows how to direct and channel that energy, in addition to your own body's natural healing energy, it can sometimes have miraculous effects" said Joseph Rolley of Yoga West Collective, when referring to Baseler’s method.

"To me, spirituality is necessary. Depending on where you're going for that outlet dictates the outcomes" said Tony of Grand Junction.

But not everyone agrees this type of healing works but Baseler has a challenge for his skeptics.

"I'd say let's try, number one. Number two… you probably didn't believe it last lifetime either" said Baseler.
