Delaware is sending reinforcements to help firefighters battling wildfires in Colorado.
A 20-member crew of volunteer firefighters trained under the Delaware Forest Service was scheduled to depart early Thursday from Blackbird State Forest to help fight Colorado's "High Park Fire."
Officials say the Delaware crew will spend two weeks battling the fire about 15 miles west of Fort Collins near the Roosevelt National Forest. The fire already has consumed almost 66,000 acres and is only about half contained.
The Delaware crew includes public agency employees, recruits from volunteer fire companies, and private citizens.
