Cut-A-Thon fundraiser for young boy with Leukemia
A local hair salon hosted a Cut-A-Thon today, to raise money to help support a young boy who was recently diagnosed with leukemia.
Two year old Matix Smith is fighting a rough battle with leukemia.
He lives in Utah and has undergone chemo therapy treatments.
Revolution hair salon has been active in the community since it first began doing business in the grand valley.
The owner of the salon is close friends with Matix's family, and knew she had to do something to help.
Meg Marakis, Owner of Revolution Salon said,” This story in particular is a little personal, I’ve known the family for about 10 years, and a few months ago little Matix was diagnosed with leukemia so we were wondering what we could do to help the family and decided a cut-a-thon would be the best thing."
All the donations from the hair cuts today went to Matix and his family.
If you'd like to help Matix and his family, you can check out his Facebook page, called "prayers for Matix" or you can stop by the revolution hair salon to find out more.
