Cookie Party benefits well-known group
Local girl scouts gathered Friday morning to kick off this year's start of cookie sales in Grand Junction.
A girl scout cookie party took place downtown at Alpine Bank from 10am to 2pm.
The girls were there to promote cookie sales and collect donations.
"Today I'm learning and planning on getting some good tips from the people that are helping us today, and I think I'm getting some social skills too," explained Girl Scout Delaney Kidd.
Some of the money raised will be donated and additional funds will provide fun activities for the scouts.
The whole experience is teaching these girls more about not only sales, but about other skills they can utilize throughout their lives.
