Construction zone safety
Construction zone safety
Just because the holidays have begun doesn't mean that road construction has ended.
Yesterday's fatal crash near highlands ranch occurred within a construction zone.
According to Colorado state patrol, two construction workers from concrete works of Colorado were struck and killed in a work zone when the driver of an SUV lost control of his car.
Construction workers told us that drivers need to be prepared to see construction areas, even during the holidays and at any time of day.
Devin Ray, Construction Project Manager said, “Biggest thing is just having people pay attention, and sometimes you don't always see something going on but there's a reason why we have those signs out there and there's a reason why we've reduced the speed limit, and it's not just for workers safety it's for traffic safety.”
The construction workers we spoke to today had of course heard about Tuesday’s crash, and they said they hope all drivers will pay extra attention
