Competitors race to support adaptive ski programs
A group of skiers up at Powderhorn enjoyed the resort's runs, in hopes of raising money and awareness for a non-profit organization.
It’s the 17th annual Vertical Ski Challenge, one of the biggest fundraisers held by Colorado Discover Ability. All the money raised will benefit those with disabilities in Western Colorado.
About a hundred participants are competing for prizes and bragging rights, and at the same time supporting adaptive ski programs.
Whoever skis or boards the most vertical feet will win the grand prize -- a 500 dollar gift certificate to board and buckle.
