A Clifton woman is working to send used mobile homes from the Grand Valley all the way to South Dakota.
It’s all to provide shelter to homeless Native Americans on reservations, a cause that's close to Sharon Lujan's heart. Her family is from the Iroquois tribe.
Already, she's helped to send ten homes to the area and her goal is to send at least fifteen more.
To do that she needs volunteers and donations, so she's started her own non-profit.
If you have a mobile home your looking to get rid of, Sharon says why not donate it to a Native American family in need?
“Instead of junking these homes that are still livable, there are homeless people all over that need not to be in the cold,” Sharon said.
Sharon is collecting more than just used homes; she's also hoping to send clothes, blankets, and food to the reservations.
