This week's kitty is Cookie. Cookie traveled nearly 2,000 miles to the CLAWS shelter from New Jersey. He lost his home, like many other animals, during Hurricane Sandy. He is a very sweet cat that loves to be petted, although he isn't shy about letting you know when he has had enough. He really likes to play, and will purr loudly when he is happy.
The type of home Cookie needs is a quiet one. A place where he can adjust to post-hurricane life. He doesn't seem to like dogs very much, and we are not sure how well he gets along with other cats. If you can give him those things, he will give you love.
Cookie is waiting for you to adopt him at the PETCO in Grand Junction. PETCO is located at 2464 US 6 in Grand Junction. The phone number is (970) 241-8340. His adoption fee is just $65, and that covers everything you will need to bring home a happy, healthy kitty.
