Car Club drives toys to Community Hospital
Today the "Just for Fun Car Club" took a drive down to the Community Hospital and dropped off car loads of stuffed animals.
The hospital was thrilled with this years turn out and says it’s honored to work with the car club.
All the toys donated will help ease pain and bring comfort to any young patients that may be visiting the hospital's emergency room.
“When kids show up in the emergency department they're usually scared, they're nervous about what's going ob, so the staff at the hospital can give them a stuffed animal can give them an animal and make them feel a little better and make their visit as non-threatening as possible," said the CEO of the Community Hospital, Chris Thomas.
This year there were about 50 cars who made the drive. Some old and some new.
The club is proud to say they've being doing the event with the hospital for 12 years now.
Members plan to continue the tradition, hopefully even bigger and better next year.
