Tears filled this circle of friends and family in Palisade, as people mourned the loss of two boys taken too soon.

"We are a very close-knit community and we firmly believe that we stand by our children 110% and this could have been easily prevented," said family friend Lorlei Dalton.

Pictures of four year-old Tyler and two year-old William Jensen were on display, letting the community remember the good times they spent with the boys.  Friends and family spoke to the crowd saying the boys are with their dad now, happy in heaven; who died during a car accident in October.

"This family, the media won't leave them alone and they really don't know what to do, and we're trying as a community to stand by them and support them in any way that we can," said Dalton.

Now another struggle begins as the grandparents of Tyler and William are fighting for their remains.  Their mother wants them cremated; however, a Mesa County judge has stopped that from happening.

"They're Christian and they want to be in the ground with their father and that's the right thing to do," says Dalton.

Loreli Dalton says that family needs financial help to cover the costs of court fees to get custody of the boy's remains.

"We really need to get a few more thousand dollars to get some closure for this family to get the bodies of the boys and to get the proper burial for them," she said.

The small town of palisade is pulling together for the Jensen family, showing that there is hope even through tragedy, and that the memory of little Tyler and William will live on forever.
