Body of dead man found in Delta has been identified
Delta law enforcement investigating
A body was found near H 38 Road and Highway 50 on Monday night.
This morning, police have identified that body as that of 27 year-old Chad Allen Koch II, of Delta.
KJCT spoke with Chief Robert Thomas with the Delta Police Department and he said the death is suspicious.
Around 8:00 p.m., Delta Police got a call regarding possible suspicious activity in the area. Police then found the body of an adult male, located on private land.
The Delta Police Department is awaiting pathology and coroner reports regarding the cause of death.
The Delta PD says that, "Upon the conclusion of the Delta Police Department’s investigation, the Delta Police Department shall submit its investigation to the Seventh Judicial District Attorney’s Office for review."
The Delta Police Department wants the public to know that, "there is no community safety risk or concern, and this incident was not a shooting."
