MESA COUNTY, Colo. -

A Clifton man is back behind bars, suspected of sexually assaulting two young girls while he babysat them.

He’s a registered sex offender, and according to the arrest report the girl's mother knew it.

Two little girls age four and six, say 29-year-old Jeremy Cisneros sexually assaulted them while he was babysitting.

Both Cisneros and his wife would watch the girls weekly.

Now he's facing 18-counts related to sexual assault on a child in a position of trust.

In an interview with investigators, the girl’s mother said she knew Cisneros was a sex offender. She said he told her he was only about 12-years-old when the incidents occurred.

Sex offenders are required to register by law, but after they're done with probation or parole they don't have to tell anyone.

Lisa McCammon registers sex offender for the Mesa County Sheriff’s office.

She says, “A lot of sex offenders that live in Mesa County. There are a lot of really good resources for education as far as who sex offenders are, what they are, and how they victimize people.”

All that information is public record that's easily accessible on the sheriff's office website.

It has a sex offender registry from every agency in the county.

You can also put in any area address and find out how close registered sex offenders are living.

The sheriff's office says that even though the mother of Cisneros’s victims knew about his status, there are no additional charges pending against her at this time.
