Avalanche warning for southwest Colorado
The Colorado Avalanche Information Center has issued a warning for hikers and skiers in the Southern San Juan mountains as another snow storm moves into Colorado.
The National Weather Service issued a winter storm warning beginning Tuesday morning for most counties on the western edge of the state.
Forecasters say the region can expect up to eight inches of snow before it's over. They said heavy snow will make travel hazardous or impossible.
Many ski resorts got fresh snow over the weekend. Steamboat Springs, which reports 8 inches of new snow, is opening another lift Monday.
