Attempted Robbery Suspect Arrested
Suspect wearing GPS unit at time of crimes
Police have arrested a man in connection with two robberies Monday afternoon.
56 year-old Robert Buch was booked into jail. He's being charged with two counts of attempted robbery.
Buch is suspected of walking into the Bank of the West and demanding money. No money was exchanged and Buch moved on.
About an hour later, employees at Weinerschnitzel on North Ave., reported a man tried to rob them as well.
Shortly after receiving the second report, officers spotted Buch and detained him.
Multiple witness reports and evidence gathered by officers place Buch at both crime scenes.
Evidence included GPS data from a tracking device Buch was required to wear as a condition of his parole.
No money was taken from either of the businesses.
