A group in Aspen is asking the city council to contribute $10,000 for a program promoting civility.
The Aspen Institute, a local think tank, is planning to spend $50,000 for meetings, advisers and a marketing campaign because members think some people have been downright obnoxious.
The Aspen Institute told the council on Tuesday that some people are opting out of the political process because of incivility, while others are being too vocal with their anger.
According to the Aspen Daily News (http://bit.ly/L7B52U ), the institute says the campaign slogan should be "I get your point, I disagree, let's go get a beer."
