GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -

The art jewelers guild annual holiday sale kicked off at meadowlark gardens today.

Artisan jewelry makers from Grand Junction showed off their large variety of crafts and hand made jewelry.

It wasn't your average holiday sale as there was live music, food, beverages and a festive atmosphere that welcomed shoppers who were looking for that perfect and unique holiday gift.

There were 10 local artists at the sale today, displaying their products that were created right here in Grand Junction.

The president of the art jewelers’ guild says she hopes the show will help remind people to shop locally this holiday season.

"Really I'd like to push the idea of buying local because these women work really hard and make really beautiful things and a lot of people don't even know they're here," said President of the Art Jewelers Guild, Virginia Jensen.

If you missed the show today you can always purchase the items online.
