Colorado Parks and Wildlife is looking for volunteers to serve on a new statewide advisory panel.

Members of the Colorado Sportsmen's Roundtable will provide feedback for the agency on hunting, fishing and wildlife issues in our state.

Panel members will meet twice a year to help the agency understand views and ideas of Colorado hunters and anglers.

The agency hopes the group will provide a forum to identify important issues to help preserve Colorado's hunting heritage.

"Well this is a unique way that we can engage our anglers and our hunters and our sportsmen that want to provide direct input to us," said Mike Porras with the Colorado Division of Wildlife.

"We've provided this roundtable and anyone that's interested can apply and become a member of this round table and that way they can directly engage with us, with their ideas and their suggestions and how to protect wildlife and habitat in Colorado," Porras added.
