Adopt-a-Family program helping families in need
Salvation Army encourages families, businesses to pitch in
For people in need, the holidays can be especially tough. And for those with kids, affording the gifts that come this time of year can be a nightmare.
That's where the Salvation Army is stepping in. Once again, they're encouraging families and businesses to get involved with their Adopt-a-Family program.
Under the program, those meeting certain eligibility requirements are interviewed to see what exactly they are in need of. Then, the Salvation Army matches the family to a family or business who best matches up and who wishes to donate.
So far, around 600 families have applied to the local Salvation Army for assistance, so they need all the help they can get.
If you'd like to adopt a family this holiday season, you are urged to contact the Salvation Army at (970) 245-9231.
