Still looking for a way to help out during the holidays?
Tomorrow is the deadline for the Adopt a Family for Christmas program by Hope for the Grand Valley.
The organizations name sums up their goal; to give hope to the hopeless.
They focus on the working poor and the families that don't qualify for government assistance.
These families are working hard to make ends meet but often times they need help, especially during the holidays.
The founder of the organization, Vicki McGee, says she understands the stress and struggle that families face to provide for their families.
"We are the only program that focuses on the working under employed so I really encourage the parents that’s are struggling and stressing and scared to death that there little girls not going to get the Barbie dream house, or the little boys not going to get the scooter because they just can't afford it," said McGee.
The family adoption program provides Christmas gifts and groceries for a holiday dinner to families in need.
