An Arizona man faces sexual assault charges in Mesa County stemming from incidents almost 30 years ago.

David White, 57, was arrested last month on a warrant issued in 1988. He is accused of repeatedly trying to molest his 11-year-old stepdaughter back in 1984. 

According to an arrest report, White allegedly threatened to kill the victim's unborn sibling if she told anyone. Her mother was pregnant at the time.

Police tell us since the charges were filed almost 25 years ago, the statute of limitations does not apply in this case. White faces two charges of Sexual Assault on a Child.

He is free on bond and is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
